The campaign’s initial objective is to start a nationwide effort to ask candidates for public office to take the pledge now, while they are on their campaign trail. And definitely before November 8, the midterm election date. 

If you attend a political meeting or rally or casually meet them on the street, ask them if they will “Take the Pledge.”
